MERCEDES-AMG PETRONAS F1
Building a High-Performance Digital Platform for a Global Fanbase
The Challenge
Creating a digital platform capable of evolving at Formula One pace while supporting millions of fans worldwide.
The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team has one of the largest and most engaged audiences in world sport, with millions of fans following races, drivers, content and partner activity throughout the Formula One season.
Its existing platform had become increasingly difficult to evolve, making it harder to deliver new digital experiences at the speed demanded by both the championship calendar and fan expectations.
The new platform needed to launch against an immovable Formula One season deadline while providing the flexibility to continuously introduce new content, features and integrations without disrupting day-to-day operations.

Our Approach
Building a composable platform that gives editorial teams the speed to publish while creating richer fan experiences.
Working alongside Collective London, Psycle delivered an MVP in under two months against an exceptionally demanding launch schedule before continuing to evolve the platform through an ongoing programme of enhancements.
By adopting a composable architecture built around Contentful, Next.js and Netlify, we created a platform that enables editorial teams to publish content rapidly while supporting continuous feature development throughout the Formula One calendar.
As the platform matured, Psycle worked directly with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team technology team on enterprise integrations including authentication, identity management and connected fan experiences, extending beyond the original marketing delivery into core platform engineering.

The Solution
A composable fan engagement platform bringing together content, live race data and enterprise integrations.
Psycle delivered an initial MVP in under two months, providing the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team with a modern composable platform ready for the start of the Formula One season.
From this foundation, the platform has continued to evolve through an ongoing programme of feature development, integrations and performance improvements.
Built on Contentful, Next.js and Netlify, the platform combines editorial content, live race information, driver standings, fan engagement features and enterprise integrations into a single scalable experience.
As the platform matured, Psycle worked directly with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team technology team to deliver enterprise integrations including Auth0 single sign-on, Monterosa fan engagement, Algolia intelligent search and wider business systems, extending the platform well beyond its original MVP.
The result is a flexible digital platform that continues to evolve throughout each Formula One season, enabling new fan experiences, rapid publishing and ongoing innovation without compromising performance or editorial agility.
